Fruitful

The questions came out when I am about to write this post.
What does it mean to be a christian? What should we do?

Often time, many hours of our leisure time well-spent on something sometime did not enlighten us or shield us from this worldly world. too many things to please our weak flesh and distort our beautiful soul.

Which is suppose to be the opposite. living the life that bring glory to God from the fruits that we sow or the seed that we planted. being somebody that represent God in a meaningful & fruitful life.

we ought to be a prepared christian. being prepared means, we study bible, learn from other, put to work what we have learned from Bible and people around us, humble in receiving the advices and perspective, plus a consistency in doing it.

keep praying for things we did wrong and repent, start to do the right things.

Born again

Its easy to proclaim, but your heart is most important

And I think, it’s very important we find out what is the born again christian and what is born again christian suppose to be like.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel no that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:5-7

To make people quit to hate each other, fighting each other, and start loving each other, You cant pass the law to make people love each other, it has to come from the heart and Jesus says, it will only come from heart that is heal to the Christ, to Him self and thats why He said, you must be born again.

William Franklin Graham Jr. (November 7, 1918 – February 21, 2018) was an American evangelist, a prominent evangelical Christian figure, and an ordained Southern Baptist minister who became well-known internationally in the late 1940s. One of his biographers has placed him “among the most influential Christian leaders” of the 20th century.

What you say

Here is one of best quote describing about what we ought to say.

Learning to think first about the meaning of it before we spit it out which should be encouraging, benefited rather than destructive to other.

First learn the meaning of what you say, and then speak.

By Epictetus

Epictetus was a Greek Stoic philosopher. He was born a slave at Hierapolis, Phrygia and lived in Rome until his banishment, when he went to Nicopolis in northwestern Greece for the rest of his life. His teachings were written down and published by his pupil Arrian in his Discourses and Enchiridion.

Inadmissible

Here is a brilliant quote from Carl Jung that explains why so many of us are feeling lonely today.

Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible.

I can see why people are looking for acknowledgement, approval or acceptance from other people. We are wired that way.

Language form a basic communication between two or more. Idea and thought can be passed through if we all are open to listen to one another humbly.

Mature in our thought simply but listening to others people perspectives without any judgement or conclusion from our side and accept their view as it is.

If you can support it, you do. If you can’t, just filter that out and leave it there.

Or we simply live a facade that makes us feel isolated.

*Facade is an outward appearance that is maintained to conceal a less pleasant or creditable reality.

In simple word, a false appearance that makes someone or something seem more pleasant or better than they really are.

Jung was also an artist, craftsman and builder as well as a prolific writer. Many of his works were not published until after his death and some are still awaiting publication.

Jung’s work was influential in the fields of psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, literature, philosophy, and religious studies.

This new morning

It is a prayer text for the morning.
I found this prayer is really good and refreshing for the beginning of the day.

Complied by Mark Water, A prayer a day. 365 prayers – on for every day of the year.

For this new morning and its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For every gift your goodness sends,
We thank you, Lord.
Amen.

The choice is yours

Have you ever heard of Noam Chomsky? If not, you might be surprised to hear that he is one of the most quoted scholars in history. The NY times also described him as the “top intellectual alive”.

Considering his groundbreaking theories on linguistic psychology and politics, why haven’t the majority of the American population heard of him?

The answer is simple. He goes against mainstream thought and has frequently criticized the actions of the US government and mainstream media.

As most of us consume our information through mainstream media, it’s easy to see why he isn’t as popular as he should be.

On Creating a Better Future

Optimism is a strategy for making a better future.
Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it’s unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so.

If you assume that there’s no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope.

If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, there are opportunities to change things, there’s a chance you may contribute to making a better world.

The choice is yours.
