Your parent have known you your entire life but you have only known a part of theirs
We often view our parents through a narrow lens—as caregivers or authority figures—without fully understanding or appreciating their complex lives as individuals.
We do not know much about their past. About their dreams, regrets, struggles, and stories.
I remembered, when I asked them about, how was the life in their younger time, life at that time, their love story and how they met. Its a lot of struggles in their time, also things a lot of simpler at that time.
It’s also a humbling realization: We are the center of our experience, but only a chapter in someone else’s story.
